What services do you provide?

GetGeek prides itself on being a wide-spectrum IT provider.

For home users, we specialize in computer service. We repair desktops, laptops and servers of all makes and models. In addition, we perform hardware and software installation, tune-ups, maintenance, data recovery and virus removal. We also provide personal computer training for all skill levels, including the absolute basics.

For our business clients we are a full-service IT consulting group. Our technicians provide expert advice in supplying the needs of small to medium size businesses. These needs can include establishing intraoffice networks, implementing failure resistant backup systems, network wiring, and on-demand helpdesk support.

Can I drop off my devices for service?

Only with prior arrangements.

While we are primarily an onsite service vendor, GetGeek offers a drop-off and pick-up system with prior arrangements. Please contact us by phone (937-701-1041) to schedule service.

There are no additional fees for this service, and our rates remain standard: $75 per hour for two-day response and $125 per hour for same-day or emergency response. If we discover an issue that requires parts or an unexpectedly high repair time, a Geek will contact you before we proceed.

A Geek will call or email you when service is complete to schedule a time for you to pick up your device.

Can you help with multiple issues per visit?

Need us to reinstall Windows while configuring your brand new iPad or Kindle? Want to learn the basics of your computer after we replace its hardware? No problem!

Our technicians would be happy to help you with any and all issues you may be experiencing. We’ll bundle it all under the same low hourly rate.

Do you carry extra parts with you?

We have all the basics.
In order to offer fast and efficient service, our Geeks carry the most commonly replaced parts to all their sites.

If a rare or manufacturer-specific part is required, we will find it and return to finish the job.

When do I pay?

In most instances, you pay when your Technician completes their work.
For business clients, invoicing is available with Net-30 payment terms. For large projects, or projects that last multiple days or visits, alternative payment terms can be discussed in advance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards.

How much does service cost?

Our residential hourly rate is $75.
All regular on-site service is $75 per hour plus tax, starting with a minimum of one hour and billed every half hour after the first.

Same-day or after-hours service is also available, with an hourly rate of $125 per hour.

Are there ever extra charges or hidden fees?

GetGeek prides itself on both fair cost and customer satisfaction and offers a free estimate before all service. That means that there will never be any hidden or unexpected charges.

The only items you will ever see on your invoice are the hourly rate, any parts that were required, sales taxes, and (for our more distant clients) the travel charge for service beyond 30 miles of Dayton.

Where do you operate?

GetGeek’s main service area is within 30 miles of Dayton, Ohio.

However, while GetGeek’s computer repair center is based in Dayton, our technicians are often contracted for work throughout the nation. If you or your company requires IT support beyond Dayton, GetGeek can help!

Is there any charge for travel?

All travel within 30 miles of Dayton is without charge.
If you require service beyond 30 miles of Dayton, we add $0.56 per mile traveled.
